Interpreting the Views and Clicks for an Email

Access path: Analytics → Emails

Follow the access path and select an email from the list. You will have the detailed results for different indicators such as views and clicks.


Views

The Views indicator presents results on the number of times the message has been opened:Unique views: If a contact opens this email 5 times, it will be calculated as 1 unique view.

Total views: If a contact opens this email 5 times, it will calculated as 5 total views.  

This option is used to detect and flag email views automatically generated by the Apple Mail Privacy Protection robots. These artificial interactions can alter your statistics by causing artificially high view rates. Concretely, the DI system analyzes the IP addresses to verify if they are part of the IP addresses that Apple claims to be its robots.  

This detection is not 100% precise. However, it gives you a portrait that is closer to the reality. The view rate is an indicator that has limits for its reliability in evaluating your contacts' engagement. It is recommended to use other indicators as a complement, such as the click, conversion or attrition rates 

When exporting view results, you have the option to add information on the views that are suspected to come from the Apple robots:

**This option was released on March 17th, 2025 and is deactivated for sendings made before this date (the checkbox will be disabled in this case).
