Adding a PDF to an Email

It is not possible to attach files to a message for various reasons. You can, however, insert a link in your message that allows recipients to download a file, or open a file or web page.


Requirements

Step 1: Create a Hosting for the File 

Option 1: Host your file outside of DI
Your file can be hosted on your website or your external system. You will need the link to this location.

Option 2: Host your file in DI
DI has a library where you can upload your files. The file library only accepts PNG, JPEG and PDF. Excel files are not accepted.

To upload a PDF, start by going to Libraries → Files and add a folder for your files. In this folder, add the PDF:You could create a category if you want to classify your files more efficiently.

In the file list, click the link icon to copy the link and keep it for Step 2:


Step 2: Add the Link to the Email

Go to the edition of the email you want to add the PDF link into a block of your choice.

Adding in a Text block
In the edition of a Text block, you can add the file link by clicking the link icon:

Adding in a Button block
In the link of a Button block, you can paste the PDF link:
