Importing contacts provides the ability to quickly add new contacts to the Dialog Insight database by using contacts that have already been created in another project or by using a list of contacts created in an external Excel or .csv file.
Since companies usually maintain their list of contacts outside of the Dialog Insight application, importing contacts on a regular basis is recommended.
Depending on the type of import, imported contacts can replace those in Dialog Insight or be added or updated.
Two import sources are possible:
- Importing Contacts from an External File - which is the simplified process offered by default when choosing to import contacts.
- Importing Contacts from Another Project - which is the advanced import process with less common and more complicated options.
