Configuring the Email Channel

Before you start sending emails with Dialog Insight, certain configurations must be completed to ensure the proper functioning of the channel and help improve the deliverability of your communications. Here are the main steps to follow to configure the Email channel.

1. Configure Your Sending Domains

Configuring your domains is necessary to authenticate your emails and customize the links used in your communications. This configuration is essential to protect your sender identity and improve email deliverability. Two methods are available to configure your domains.

Option 1: With Subdomain Delegation
Choose this method if you want Dialog Insight to manage the DNS configurations required for your email sends.
→ Configure Domains with Subdomain Delegation

Option 2: Without Assistance
Choose this method if you prefer to perform the required DNS configurations yourself. You will need access to your domain's DNS management settings or assistance from your technical team or DNS service provider.
→ Configure Domains Without Assistance

To learn more about this topic, see the article Understanding Domains and Email Authentication.

2. Add Dialog Insight to Your Allowlist

To prevent your organization's security systems from blocking emails sent from Dialog Insight, we recommend adding the platform's sending servers to your allowlist.

→ Add Dialog Insight to Your Whitelist

3. Add Authorized Senders (Optional)

You can define which email addresses are authorized to be used as senders in your communications. This configuration helps you better manage the email addresses used by different users in your account.

→ Define Authorized Senders

4. Review Quarantine Settings

Quarantine automatically excludes contacts whose email addresses generate certain delivery errors. This measure helps maintain the quality of your contact database and protect your sending reputation.

Since this feature is enabled by default, simply make sure its settings meet your needs.

→ Configure Email Delivery Error Quarantine

5. Plan for Sending Reputation Warm-Up

When you start sending emails from a new domain or IP address, it is important to gradually increase your sending volumes.

This process, known as reputation warm-up, allows mailbox providers to gradually recognize your email traffic and helps establish a good sender reputation.

Next Steps

Once these configurations are complete, you can move on to the next steps to prepare and send your first email campaigns. See the My First Email Campaign guide to learn more about the steps involved.
